Last updated: 13 March 2026
1) Controller
The controller responsible for the processing of personal data within the meaning of the GDPR is:
Looga
Owner: Markus Schuster
Address: Tarper Strasse 2, 24997 Wanderup, Germany
Email: hello@looga.de
2) Basic Principle: Exclusively Local, No Account, No Own Server
The Blood Pressure Offline app is designed as a local diary. There is no user account, no app server, and no cloud synchronization provided by us.
Personal data and health data are generally processed and stored exclusively on your device. Your diary or health data are not automatically transmitted to us.
Only if you actively use functions such as export, sharing, file saving, backup/restore, in-app purchase, store review, or watch sync will the data flows required for those respective functions occur via system or platform services.
3) Which Data Does the App Process Locally on Your Device?
Depending on the functions used, the app processes locally in particular:
- blood pressure values, systolic/diastolic, and optionally pulse;
- date and time of measurements;
- notes, tags, and other contextual information entered by you;
- reminder schedules for medication, for example medication name, dosage, intake times, interval/weekday schedule, and optionally barcode, strength, or package size;
- intake logs / history of reminders;
- patient details for PDF exports, for example first name, last name, date of birth;
- app, security, and convenience settings, for example app lock, targets, theme, export and backup settings;
- local app metadata, for example initial setup, backup notices, review notices, or local unlock status of functions;
- locally generated export and backup files, .csv, .pdf, .bpbackup.
If you enable local reminders, notification content may be visible on notification areas or the lock screen, depending on your device and lock screen settings. This display is also performed locally via your device’s operating system.
4) No Advertising, No Own Analytics or Crash SDK
The app does not use any advertising SDK, any own analytics SDK, or any own crash reporting SDK.
However, depending on your platform and device settings, platform providers may collect technical diagnostic data:
- Android: for example crash/ANR information via Android vitals;
- iOS: for example diagnostic data if the Apple option for sharing analytics data is enabled.
These technical data serve the stability and troubleshooting of the app. We do not operate our own telemetry for diary or health data.
5) External Recipients / Data Flows Only in Certain Cases
We do not transfer your diary or health data to our own servers. External recipients or platform services may only be involved in the following cases:
- in-app purchases / restoration of purchases: processing via Google Play or the Apple App Store under the respective platform’s own responsibility;
- store review: opening the respective store review function of the platform provider;
- export / sharing / file saving / backup: transfer of the file selected by you to the destination service or storage location chosen by you;
- watch sync: optional synchronization between your smartphone and your watch via the device and platform services intended for this purpose; no transmission to us;
- platform diagnostics: technical diagnostic data collected by platform providers in accordance with your device or account settings.
6) Purposes of Processing
- Keeping a blood pressure/pulse diary, including display, history, and evaluations;
- managing local medication reminders and intake logs;
- creating, storing, exporting, sharing, importing, and restoring files at your request;
- protecting app data through local security functions;
- unlocking, restoring, and locally managing optional premium features via the respective app store;
- troubleshooting, integrity, and stability of the app.
7) Legal Bases
Where personal data are processed, we base the processing in particular on the following legal bases:
- Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for providing the app functions requested by you;
- Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for IT security, integrity, troubleshooting, and the stable provision of the app.
Where special categories of personal data, in particular health data, are processed in the app, this occurs exclusively on the basis of your voluntary entries and your use of the app, initiated by you, as a personal diary. Where consent is required for this, Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR is the supplementary legal basis.
8) Storage Period / Deletion
The app stores data locally on your device until you delete them or have them removed.
- Individual entries can be deleted in the app.
- The “Delete all data” function removes locally stored app content from the app.
- Files that have already been exported, shared, or stored outside the app may continue to exist outside the app and must be deleted separately there.
- When the app is uninstalled, the operating system generally removes the app and the associated local app files from the device. Files already stored outside the app or areas managed by the platform outside the app may remain unaffected by this.
9) Your Rights
Subject to the statutory requirements, you have in particular the following rights:
- access;
- rectification;
- erasure;
- restriction of processing;
- data portability;
- objection to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR;
- withdrawal of consent with effect for the future, where processing is based on consent;
- lodging a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
Many practical steps can be carried out directly by you within the app itself, for example by viewing, exporting, or deleting your locally stored data.
10) No Automated Decision-Making
No automated decision-making, including profiling, takes place.
11) Changes
If we amend this Privacy Policy, we will update the date above.
